Culinary Kids becomes The Dizzy Whisk!

It's been a really busy time for us these last few months.

Culinary Kids officially launched in Fall 2009 with our website and almost immediately we were busy with our first Birthday Party events. Thank you to all our early supporters! By early winter our first classes were well underway and we completed mini semesters on Soups and Appetizers and on Main Courses.

We sponsored a table at a MomCafe event at Kits beach, and we were excited to be associated with Variety - The Childrens Charity in two of their major fundraisers of 2009. We have also been thrilled to be able to contribute to the fundraising activities of Crofton House School, York House School, Jules Quesnel Elementary, Vancouver Talmud Torah School and Little Flower Academy as well.

Towards the end of 2009 we reached a few major conclusions:
1) We really needed a larger space for our class activities and are very busy working on this huge project. Until then we will be concentrating on our Kids Birthday Parties as well as a brand new and exciting family and adult oriented programs.

2) Many moms started asking us about programs for adults, and so we decided to add a number of really interesting activities aimed at adults. These include Girls Night Out cooking and baking parties, Holiday Parties (we did a great Xmas related adults cooking party in December) as well as a new Mommies and Nannies program for moms wanting to learn to cook and wanting their nannies to learn to cook as well!
With the addition of these new programs we decided to rebrand since we are not solely working with kids, and we are now The Dizzy Whisk!

What's new so far in 2010?

It's been a busy month so far and there is a lot going on.

TV- we will be helping at the Variety Telethon on TV on Jan 30. We really believe that Variety is a fantastic organisation and want to help out as much as we can.

TV- we have been asked to present a segment on City TV's Breakfast TV - watch out for us on Jan 28.

The Wellness Show - we will be presenting a cooking demo on stage at this huge show at the Vancouver Convention Centre at the end of April. Put it in your calendar now so you don't forget. Typically about 30,000 people pass through the Wellness Show doors.

We'll be blogging regularly from now on - watch out for recipes, culinary tips, info on kids cooking and eating,  and other exciting news from the culinary world.
